UCLan celebrated a 1st place Mediator win for the 2nd year in a row at the 2017 International Mediation Competition in Glasgow!

The competition consisted of 126 students from all over the World and we’re delighted to have one of our students receive first place.

UCLan students were awarded 1st place Mediator (Phoebe Dearden), 6th place Mediator (Ben Whittingham) and Mediator Team Semi-Finalist (Tomas Ollson) by the INADR (International Academy for Dispute Resolution) in the International Law School Tournament.

Students also received 2nd place, team ranking in the UK Student Mediation Competition (Alkesh Pratap Singh, Sangavi Sivarajah, Phoebe Dearden and Ben Whittingham) and 2nd place, party ranking (Tomas Ollson). In addition to, 3rd place, team ranking (Emma-Louise Blight and Rachael Newton) hosted by the Institute of Law, Jersey.
